The work you do not have to do
Price Trakker is a fully managed competitor price monitoring service, established in 2013 and operated from the United Kingdom. Competitor price data goes stale quietly: matches drift, retailers rebuild their pages, collections fail and nobody notices until a pricing decision is made on numbers that were wrong a fortnight ago. The managed service exists so that work belongs to us. Six jobs we take off your desk. Scoping the monitoring: we agree the products, competitors, marketplaces and markets with you and build the monitoring around that scope. Matching your products: matching is AI-assisted and then checked by people, including products with no GTIN, EAN or MPN, awkward variants and pack sizes, with corrections retained for future runs. Investigating failed collections: when a scheduled collection does not return what it should, we see it and investigate it. Maintaining sources as sites change: retailers redesign pages, move listings and change how prices are displayed, and keeping collection working through those changes is part of the service. Checking the data before you see it: observations are checked for the obvious failure modes and each price is stored against the source page and capture time. Building the reporting around you: bespoke fields, bespoke reports, scheduled delivery, Excel exports and API access. What you receive: daily price, promotion, stock and availability capture on the sources in your scope, price-change alerts on the products and competitors you flag, scheduled reports, Excel exports, API access, and every observation traceable to its source page. People, not just a platform: a named account manager who knows your catalogue and competitor set, a technical lead responsible for collection quality, and a UK-based team that has monitored competitor prices for retailers and brands since 2013. FAQ. What does fully managed actually mean? Setup, product matching, maintenance when competitor sites change, investigation of failed collections and the shape of your reporting are our work rather than yours. What is left for my team to do? Tell us what to monitor, tell us when your range or competitor set changes, and act on the data. What happens when a competitor redesigns their website? We detect the failure, investigate it and rebuild the collection. Can I see where a price came from? Yes, each observation is stored against its source page and capture time. Can you build something specific to us? Bespoke fields, bespoke reports and delivery by Excel or API are normal requests.
